By buying our products and services you agree to the following
terms of business.
- Nature of Business

MathDirect is an electronic software and services store operated by
MathConsult Dr. R. Mäder, a Swiss company.
MathDirect operates in Switzerland according to the laws of Switzerland.
Place of Jurisdiction is Wollerau, Switzerland.
- Correspondence
-
All correspondence between customer and MathDirect shall be through
a World-Wide Web site operated by MathDirect or by means of Internet
email. Customer is responsible for providing a working email address.
- Software Licenses
-
By accepting to download free or paid software,
customer agrees to the license agreement that comes with every
software item offered through MathDirect.
- Payment
-
Software may be downloaded and Services may be used only after
payment has been received in full.
MathDirect offers electronic payment options through payment agencies
that act as intermediaries on behalf of MathDirect.
- Delivery of Goods
-
Customer understands that all software and services are available
only in electronic form, accessible through the Worl-Wide Web
with the http or https protocol.
Customer further understands that installation of downloaded files
may require additional auxiliary software; MathDirect provides a list
of such software and guarantees that this list includes also freely
available auxiliary software, whose use does not incur any cost
to customer.
- Refunds

Customer may apply for a partial refund for any licenses not yet
redeemed and any services not yet used
for a period of 10 days after purchase.
Customer may either use the refund for future purchases or ask for
a money transfer through the same payment method that was used to
pay for the software and services.
For such a money transfer, MathDirect will deduct a service charge
of US$ 50 from the refund amount.
- Support/Update (Service) Contracts

The terms under which services are rendered by MathDirect or its
affiliates are set forth in a service contract available to customer
before purchase.
To obtain customer support under a service contract,
customer must have bought at least the same number of service contracts
as customer has obtained licenses of the software to which the
service contract belongs.
- Identification and Security
-
MathDirect provides technical means for customers to identify themselves
uniquely to MathDirect's WWW site, including at least a password
of customer's choice.
It is the customer's responsibility to keep the password and other
means of identification confidential.
MathDirect provides a secure (https) server which allows customer
to avoid sending the password over the Internet in cleartext form.
Customer must not allow others to identify themselves with customer's
identification to MathDirect.
- Privacy

MathDirect establishes reasonable technical and organizational procedures
for keeping all data stored about customer confidential.
MathDirect is not responsible for the consequences of an
attack by a third party on MathDirect's computer systems that results
in a breach of confidentiality.
MathDirect does not store any credit card information on its on-line
computer systems.
- Termination
-
Customer may at any time ask MathDirect to remove all customer data
from its on-line computers and terminate the business relationship
with customer.
In this event, all license agreements and service contracts terminate
as well and customer must stop using all licensed software
and delete all copies of licensed software from its computers.
- Taxes and Documents
-
Customer must not make false statements about customer's name, address,
country of residence, and affiliation.
MathDirect will collect value-added tax (MWSt) for customers residing
in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Payment of import duties and taxes for other contries are the sole
responsibility of customer.
MathDirect makes export documents and invoices available in electronic
form which customer may print out if required.
